Abstract

With the growth of P2P networks, it is an important problem to encourage peers in P2P to share its resource. All the rational and self-interested peers will want to maximize those resources' utility. This paper models the behavior of peers in P2P network; we make use of the storage space as the key factor, and restrict the peers' resource getting ability by counting the peers' communication capability and the average size of files in the peers. In this mechanism, peers increase the motivation of sharing resources with others. Finally, it can increase the utility of P2P network. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
