Electrophoretic and Chromatographic Separation of Peptides on Paper.

Electrophoresis and chromatography on paper have proved extremely useful techniques for the separation of small peptides prior to amino acid sequencing. Polarity determines the rate of migration of a peptide during chromatography, whereas both charge and size are the main determinants during electrophoresis.
