Innovations in Intelligent Agents.

This paper introduces the invited session of "Innovations in Intelligent Agents" being presented at the ninth International Conference on Knowledge-Based & Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems. This session concentrates on the use of the Belief-Desire-Intention (BDI) architecture to produce Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) that enable "human-centric" teaming. A brief summary of the innovations that led to the evolution of research into this topic is also provided with the papers that detail the concepts raised in this session. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
