Abstract
- The article focuses on the works of Hanns Lautensack as a woodcut printmaker. It is stated that Lautensack was known for his etched landscapes inspired by the works of the Danube School and for his portraits of a number of Nuremberg and Viennese dignitaries. It cites several woodcuts by Lautensack listed in Hollstein including an author-portrait of the humanist Johannes Aventinus, an illustration to a Thurnier Buech showing "Duke Heinrich the Younger as a Standard-bearer", and a unique impression of a "Great Flood."
