Abstract
- A shape-adaptive search is defined based on the BISK scheme and it is applied to sign encoding and magnitude refinement of images. It can be generalized to a complete bitplane encoder whose performance is comparable to that of other state-of-the-art encoders. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
