Abstract
- NewsGator is moving deeper into the advertising world with a new partnership with Digital Advertising Consortium (DAC), one of Japan’s larger ad solution services. The deal presents exclusive rights for NewsGator Widgets to Japanese media companies and brands using DAC. DAC is the latest company in a growing string of brands that are turning to NewsGator’s RSS widget tools in order to provide interactive content “ads†across the Web. The company will be utilizing NewsGator Widgets for content syndication. The joy of widgets ads is that they present an opportunity for more dynamic interaction between brands and site visitors, and one thing that publications have been using widget ads for is to distribute content across the Web. This is in part due to the growth of blogs and self-published sites online, where content can be dynamically integrated through something like an RSS-powered widget ad as a way to better fit in with site content. This partnership allows NewsGator to delve deeper into advertising on a global scale. Japan has one of the world’s largest advertising markets, and teaming up with a prominent online ad service is a great way for NewsGator to get its foot in the door. As with most other widget ad providers, NewsGator will be providing reports on the performance of these widget ads, which DAC can use for its own ad placement algorithms, and can extend to their clients as raw data as well. ---Related Articles at Mashable! - The Social Networking Blog:NewsGator Launches iPhone VersionNewsGator Adds Support for Sharepoint, Among Other UpgradesNewsGator Brings Feed Reading to FacebookNewsGator Launches Recommended Feeds Based on Attention DataNewsGator Joins OpenSocialUpdates for FeedDemon 2.6 Beta 3NewsGator Shifts To Free Software Model [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
