Abstract

The article offers information on a nanotube paper with auxetic properties developed by the team of researchers at the NanoTech Institute at the University of Dallas. The paper called "buckypaper," uses carbon nanotube fibres in able to exhibit controllable auxetic behavior. When the materials are stretched in one direction, they get thinner in the other direction, increasing in width.
