Abstract
- The article analyzes the manner in which open source software utilizes principles of copyright law to provide free access to software. It traces the history of such a movement on software programming. It also discusses the role played by the open source software in the development and dissemination of software programs. In addition, it examines the long-term implications of this movement on the software industry.
