Abstract

The article reports on results of a study of Asaia lannaensis, an acetic acid bacterium in the Alphaproteobacteria. A description of the study design and method is presented. The study concluded that isolates produced acetic acid from ethanol on ethanol/calcium carbonate agar, differing from the type strains of Asaia bogorensis, Asaia siamensis and Asaia krungthepensis.
