Abstract
- The article discusses a study which examines the arrhythmogenic effecs of β-adrenergic stimulation in the failing heart. In vivo drug infusion, in vitro myocyte and biochemical studies were performed. The arrhythmogenic effects of β-adrenergic receptors ares mediated by sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) Ca overload-induced spontaneous SR Ca release and aftercontractions.
