Abstract
- The articles examines the moral rights and obligations that should accompany public infrastructure in a technological society. The author focuses on the digital divide, a political euphemism used to name the technology gap that separates people along lines of race and class. The difference principle of John Rawls accepts social and economic inequalities only when they satisfy two conditions that are vital to this discussion of the digital divide. An overview of the digital divide in the U.S. is presented.
