Abstract
- The article presents the second part of a three-part series of articles about J Whatman-countermarked handmade paper used on John James Audubon's book, "The Birds of America." It discusses the two types of countermarks found on the sheets of the printed plates of Audubon's book. Moreover, it presents a brief story about J Whatman and the Turkey Mill, which was a textile mill before and later changed to produce wove papers. Further, it cites Hollingworth Mill, who has been using the J Whatman countermark and has been a part of Turkey Mill before.
