Abstract

The article offers information on the traditional Korean methods of color combinations applied in textile fabrics. It was said that neutral colors are combined with hints of colors which are taken from washed flower petals, roots and leaves diffused in sunlight. Korean colors have strong symbolic and traditional meanings which are also expressed in variations of blue, red, yellow, white, and black. Its color psychology and thought process are best seen in the color of pojagi which are usually made from scraps of different fabrics leftover from more important sewing projects.
