Abstract

An encyclopedia entry for "NetWare Core Protocol" (NCP) is presented. The NCP is developed by Novell to manage access to the primary NetWare server resources. It is responsible for making procedure calls to the NetWare File Sharing Protocol that services requests for NetWare file and print resources. The protocol is used for transmitting information between a NetWare server and its clients.
