Abstract

A definition of the term "AppleTalk Transaction Protocol" is presented. It is a transport-level protocol that provides a loss-free transaction service between sockets and is said to be built on top of Datagram Delivery Protocol (DDP). It allows exchanges between two socket clients in which one requests the other to perform a particular task.
