Study: TFA teachers effective in high school.

The article focuses on a study which revealed that Teach For America (TFA) instructors are more effective in raising achievement among disadvantaged high school students in the U.S. than the teachers normally assigned to those students. The study, which was released at the American Education Research Association conference, also revealed that TFA teachers outperform non-TFA teachers with three or more years of experience as well as fully subject-area certified non-TFA teachers.
