Abstract
- Chapter 26 of the book "Gendered Realities: Essays in Caribbean Feminist Thought" is presented. It presents a discussion on Caribbean families. As stated, family in the Caribbean could refer to one or three organizations. A family could be a sexual union and its offspring, a household, or a network that is not confined to any one household. Each type of organization is discussed. The chapter also touches on Caribbean family values, attitudes to marriage, and females as head of the family.
