Abstract

The article reports on the findings of a randomised trial concerning the students who spend much time at the uni bar in Australia. Research found that 61% were drinking at hazardous levels. Meanwhile, the at-risk students randomised to complete a single Web-based intervention reported significantly less alcohol consumption and fewer academic problems at six and 13-month follow-up. Moreover, the research came as Prime Minister Kevin Rudd announced a national to address bringe drinking.
