Abstract
- The article states that the national teachers unions could play a role in the close race between Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nominations in the U.S. A total of 2,025 delegates must be secured by a candidate to win the nomination. Under the rules of the Democratic National Convention, the delegates shall reflect the sentiments of those who elected them. The barrier standing in the way of National Education Association's providing unified support behind Clinton or Obama is cited.
