Security in the Saddle.

The article discusses the security arrangements at major bicycle races. Races profiled include the Anthony Charteau, the Tour de France, with special focus given to the Le Tour de Langkawi. A central issue presented is the funding of security forces, whether security should be paid by the larger central governments or paid by each local community in the path of the race. Traffic control is also discussed.
