Abstract

The article discusses the increasing price of grains, specifically corn, soybeans, wheat and cotton, in United States. The U.S. Department of Agriculture forecasts that the price of corn will rise to $35 cents while soybeans will reach $65 cents in 2008. The price of wheat and cotton are also projected to increase significantly. The price increase is believed to be caused by the high demand for grains of the biofuel market and countries like China and India.
