The African Union Summit was held in Accra, Ghana on July 1-3, 2007 with the Assembly of Heads of State, which four new members were elected and one existing member was re-elected to the African Union (AU) Commission on Human and People's Rights. In a related report, the 22nd Activity Report of the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights was adopted at the 2007 AU Summit. The Report includes the 41st session of the African Commission and notes, among other matters, the financial situation of the Commission. The Report further notes that the current staff provision is adequate and sets out a proposed new staff structure.
