Abstract
- The article discusses the obstacles being faced by the U.S. government with regards the proper care and custody of unaccompanied and separated alien minors. It highlights the challenges that exist for unaccompanied minors facing the prospect of returning to their country of origin. It details some barriers to successful repatriation and safe reintegration. It highlights international legal instruments and documents that can provide guidance and direction as to how government should act to overcome barriers to non-citizen children's care.
