Abstract
- The article reports that the U.S. Senate has resumed action on overhauling the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is expecting a conference agreement which will deal with warrantless electronic surveillance on U.S. residents and liability protections for the companies which aided the administration. The White House has vowed to veto a final bill if it does not include immunity for the companies.
