Abstract

The article presents an experiment with art in education which aims to show that good art and design must primarily be social matters that can be pragmatically evaluated. The experiment's methodology involves giving lecture to art students about developments in modern art and their implications and introducing some of the Hegelian thought and some of the art and cultural pronouncement of Marcuse. It was found out that subsequent educational experiences will reinforce the technique and problem awareness and conceptualization as the subject of the experiment.
