The article discusses on past conquests of European monarchs. History recorded several wars that were born from each monarch's ambition to expand his territory and spread his influence over religion and way of life. This was the case of the Hundred Years War (1337-1453) between England and France, Moor occupation of Spain (711-1492), rule of the Ottoman Empire (13th to 19th century), and the pre World War II empires of Germany, Russia, and Turkey.
