Abstract
- The article presents a case study of a 30-year-old HIV-positive man who presented a rare case of bilateral multifocal choroiditis and optic neuropathy as the result of disseminated cryptococcal infection. His ophthalmological examination revealed bilateral multifocal choroiditis and optic neuropathy while laboratory examination and imaging suggested a presumptive diagnosis of disseminated Cryptococcus neoformans infection as confirmed in the therapeutic response to the diagnosis made.
