Abstract

The article presents information on the increasing trend of chef's table service at restaurants in New York City. According to the Zagat Survey, over the past three years, the number of restaurants in the city with a chef's table has nearly tripled to 25. Some chef's tables are booked seven nights a week. A few have lengthy waiting lists. New restaurants are adding chef's tables as a way to stand out in the crowd. One of the restaurants offering this service is Waldorf-Astoria.
