Abstract
- The article deals with the warning of Members of Parliament (MPs) on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) that the government of Great Britain cannot manage developments across the Thames Gateway area to the east of London. PAC chairman Edward Leigh said the project, in which 160,000 homes, business and recreation centres, are planned by 2016, was too big for the Department for Communities and Local Government to manage, and this risked putting off private sector investors. The Thames Gateway is reportedly low on the government's priority list.
