Abstract

The article presents a study on the model of work-related well-being for police members in the North West Province in South Africa. The study was participated by the members of the Local Criminal Record Centre (LCRC) of the South African Police Service (SAPS) and made used of the Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey, Utrecht Work Engagement Scale and the Job Demands-Resources Scale to achieve the research objectives. The work wellness was analyzed by the relationship between engagement and burnout and it was found out that the LCRC members exhibited a high risk to become ill due to exhaustion and showed minimal enthusiasm about their job.
