Abstract
- The article features dancer and choreographer Peter Trosztmer. Under the Motréal Danse repertory company, Trosztmer realized that he wanted to be part of the decision-making team and not just a follower. His 2006 performance piece "Synthesis As Composure" involved seven choreographers including Margie Gillis, Thea Patterson and Sharon Moore, who were invited to set certain phrases or ideas to be performed. Trosztmer also performed in "Norman," a production in honor of Canadian film pioneer Norman McLaren.
