Abstract
- The article focuses on athletes who account for thrill of the ING New York City Marathon. The athletes in such event include Kenyan Samuel Wanjiru who holds the world record for the half marathon during the Ethiopian Tesfayi Jifar in 2001 and Zersenay Tadesse of Eritrea who is the double world champion for the cross-country and road races. Further, the veteran marathoner Paul Tergat joins such competition.
