Abstract
- The article offers information on the exact date of the construction of the Chapel of San Girolamo in Santa Maria del Popolo in Rome, Italy. One way of identifying the date of the construction is the assessment of the chapel's decoration. Moreover, an inscription was discovered above the side doors which indicates 1477 as the year of completion. The author claims that the church was built by Sixtus IV. Bernardino Pinturicchio was identified as the painter responsible for the frescoes in the chapel.
