Abstract
- The article profiles Anne Shaw Faulkner Oberndorfer, music teacher for the homemakers in the U.S. The educator was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1877 and attended the Chicago Conservatory of Music and the Caruthers Normal School of Music. It provides an overview of periodicals for which Oberndorfer wrote, including "The Ladies' Home Journal." The teacher also organized and ran Music Memory Contests for Children, in addition to adult-focused lectures.
