Abstract

The article presents the author's analysis on the life and contributions in the art of William Morris Hunt. He was born of a wealthy family in Brattleboro, Vermont. He studied arts in France and was recognized as a known painter in Europe. On his return to New England, he introduced French influence into American painting.
