The Impact of a Domestic Violence Unit on Repeat Offending and Repeat Victimization.

Using a sample of domestic violence reports to the police this study focuses on the recidivist offending and repeat victimization of cases processed through a specialized DVunit compared with cases handled by regular patrol. The study controls for the fact that the DV Unit handles more serious charges and prior involvement in prior domestic violence incidents.
