Abstract

Researchers have only recently begun to study the problem of stalking on college campuses. College provides the greatest concentrations of the most likely victims of stalking; single, young females. Using data from 306 female college students at a southeastern university during the Spring 2006 semester, the present study will provide a partial test of Ferraro's (1995) risk interpretation model. Specifically, this study will examine using regression analysis, the relationships between female college students victimization experiences (i.e., direct and indirect), perceptions of risk, and fear of stalking during the day and night, as well as on the internet. Policy implications from this study will also be discussed. ..PAT.-Unpublished Manuscript [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
