Abstract
- The article discusses the downfall of the 1862 International Exhibition held in London, England. It suffered several postponements before it opened, one of them due to a political crisis in Italy and another to the sudden death of Prince Albert, who was closely connected with the Exhibition's conception. In addition, the pieces came into the hands of the Victoria and Albert Museum after the exhibition closed.
