Abstract

The article presents a case study of a leather garment whose previously unstained seams and hems came out after cleaning with blotchy dark marking. The glue used to make the hems is slightly sensitive to drycleaning solvent causing the problem. The author argues that the responsibility for this case lies with the garment maker. It should have used garment adhesives which do not give this problem.
