Abstract
- The article comments on the system of New York to allow one person to manage the New York State Common Retirement Fund, a pension fund. An investigation of former comptroller of the fund, Alan Hevesi, and the admitted inexperience of current comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, as stated, are focusing new attention on the fund. It is also stated that the fund outperformed under Hevesi, but there is no assurance that it will do as well under DiNapoli.
