Abstract: The article features U.S. Senator George Voinovich. According to the article, Voinovich is a big fan of the federal workforce, which is one of his priorities as a new senator. Voinovich immediately got going on workforce issues when he became senator and chairman of the Governmental Affairs Committee's Oversight of Government Management and the Federal Workforce Subcommittee, according to Kristine Simmons, the subcommittee's staff director from 1999 to 2001. Some of the workforce bills sponsored by Voinovich include The Senior Executive Service Reform Act of 2003 and The Federal Workforce Flexibility Act of 2003.
