Abstract
- The article reports that former state Senator Jim Whitehead has been defeated by Physician Paul Broun in Georgia's 10th congressional district special-election runoff. Whitehead operative states that their defeat resulted from ignoring the Athens area during the campaign period. The results of the election reveals that Broun led the heavily favored Whitehead by 373 votes out of more than 46,000 votes.
