Abstract
- The article reports on the increasing fall death rate among the elderly in Utah. A report reviewing all fall-related injuries among adults 65 and older for the years 1999-2004 was released by the Utah Department of Health (UDOH) to help people understand how and why so many seniors die from falls. The Violence and Injury Prevention Program recommends seniors to have an annual physical examination and an annual eye examination and check the home for hazards to prevent fall-related injuries.
