Abstract

The article provides information on a study that analyzed the association between prediagnostic serum concentrations of insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-I and IGF-binding protein-3 and prostate cancer risk in a case-control study nested in the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition. It concludes that serum IGF-I concentration is not strongly associated with prostate cancer risk.
