Abstract

The author discusses the mountain fox which is found in Scotland. He talks about some of his sightings in the wild. Some of the mythology associated with foxes includes the fact that Celts would make offerings to foxes and other animals during their Beltane celebrations. Many Gaelic proverbs use a fox as an image, such as a person being "sly as a fox," or "wily as a fox."
