Abstract

The article discusses the findings of the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition cohort study which examined the link between androgens and sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and ovarian cancer risk. Direct immunoassays were used to determine serum levels of testosterone, androstenedione, dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate and SHBG.
