Abstract

The article presents information on various fats. According to the Harvard School of Public Health in Cambridge, Massachusetts, low-density lipoproteins or the bad cholesterol is a mix of fats that is more likely to lead to atherosclerosis and a potential cardiac infarction. It cites foods in which most of the trans fats in the American diet are found, including snack foods. According to textbooks, linoleic acid and linolenic acid are essential fatty acids (EFA).
