Abstract

A context for understanding, selecting, and creating experiential techniques in family therapy is offered. Following a brief discussion of the definition and scope of experiential techniques, the theory behind family therapy goals and strategies and the functioning of experiential techniques in family therapy are explored. Illustrated guidelines for the selection and creation of techniques appropriate for specific goals in the treatment of families are then presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
