Abstract

This article discusses various issues related to the religious beliefs and practices in the western society. The article highlights that one sector of the society believes in God and in other ideal principles associated to the earlier ones and also practices regularly the rituals of the catholic religion. Another important section of the society is integrated by people who believe in the supernatural force or power. They consider themselves as believers but not practitioners of Christianity. Religion implies believing in a supernatural force or power like something distinct of the natural or human world. Consequently, religion does not disappear, rather it stays and transforms in the modern world.
