Abstract
- The article focuses on the use of insulating concrete forms (ICF) in concrete construction. Traditional concrete contractors have found ICFs suitable for use in homes and buildings because it requires less equipment and workers. Buildings with ICFs can stand up to high winds, hurricanes and seismic forces. Customers seeking to construct green buildings also benefit from these stay-in-place forms, which cause structure to require 44% less energy to heat and 32% less energy to cool.
